Cooperation Background:A new energy development enterprise in Africa planned to implement an off-grid power supply project for remote villages in Tanzania. The local power grid coverage rate is less than 20%, and villagers mainly rely on diesel generators, which have high costs and heavy pollution. The customer needed a low-cost, easy-to-maintain energy storage system to meet the basic electricity needs of household lighting and small household appliances,
with a single system supporting 5-7 days of battery life.
Cooperation Process:A customized 5kWh household energy storage system was developed, using lithium iron phosphate batteries (with a cycle life of over 3,000 times) and equipped with an MPPT solar controller, which can be connected to 300W solar panels. Considering the local high-temperature environment, the system has a built-in intelligent temperature control module, which can still operate stably in a 45℃ environment. To reduce maintenance difficulties, a modular structure was designed, allowing villagers to replace faulty components after simple training. The project was implemented in three phases, and the first batch of goods was transported to Tanzania by land through the BRE Iran Line, with full logistics tracking to ensure the safe arrival of the equipment.
Cooperation Results: After the first batch of 500 energy storage systems was put into use, the villagers' electricity costs decreased by 70%, and the usage rate of diesel generators dropped by 90%. The average daily power generation of the system reaches 8kWh, meeting the household electricity demand for more than 8 hours. At present, the three-phase deployment has been completed, covering 5,000 households, and the customer plans to replicate this model to neighboring countries such as Kenya and Uganda.
